The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) is facilitating the development of a Green Ports Initiative for the Ports of Philadelphia and Camden including port operations and transportation facilities owned and operated by the DRPA/PATCO, South Jersey Port Corporation (SJPC) and Philadelphia Regional Port Authority (PRPA). The agencies have hired Weston Solutions, Inc., a local environmental engineering firm to lead them through this effort.
Port facilities have significant economic and social impacts on the region, and the DRPA, SJPC and PRPA are making it a priority to improve their environmental impacts through this Green Ports Initiative. This includes responsible, sustainable improvements to administrative, operations and maintenance facilities.
